The brief and the build.
The Challenge. The home needed a complete interior transformation that could embrace a bold, contemporary California aesthetic without feeling cold or disconnected from its indoor-outdoor setting. Each space - from the open living area to the private master suite - needed to feel intentional, curated, and cohesive across a modern open floor plan.
The Approach. A palette of matte black, warm walnut, and cool grey was carried through every room with precision and contrast. The kitchen anchors the social heart of the home with flat-front black cabinetry, a walnut-clad hood, a live-edge island bar, and a Sputnik brass chandelier that bridges warmth and edge. A glass-enclosed wine tower built into a structural column serves as both functional storage and a sculptural divider between kitchen and living. The master bath layers charcoal stone, fluted grey tile, and a combination of brass and matte black hardware for a spa-like finish. The guest bath makes a bold statement with a floor-to-ceiling glossy black hexagonal tile wall and floating concrete vanity.
The Result. The completed home is a confident expression of California modern living - open, light-filled, and anchored by materials that are both warm and bold. Every room flows naturally into the next, with the indoor-outdoor connection and curated material palette giving the home a singular, cohesive identity from entry to backyard.
